Initial On-Site Garden Design Consultation with the Client

Following an initial contact, Kevin makes an appointment and personally meets every client on site/in the garden to discuss the overall project and design requirements.

As a garden design consultant, numerous variables are discussed at this meeting in relation to the project (many of which the client would not have thought important until now). This enables Kevin to form a very clear picture of the clients overall requirements and brief of the way ahead.

Kevin uses this opportunity to show the client previous plans and photographs of projects of a similar scale and some with very differing briefs, levels etc, which we hope will convey to the client the very high standard that we work to.

Kevin does spend some considerable time at this meeting whether it be looking at the existing garden, making constructive suggestions and recommendations, or simply guiding the client through the process.

He feels that it is very important that the client is very comfortable with the intended works ahead, and that they and Kevin are very much on the same wavelength and excited with their views and ideas.

This is the same whether it be for a small planting detail or for extensive design and build works.

For this reason, Kevin prefers that finance is not a constraint at this stage, and therefore does not charge for his initial site visit and garden design consultation.

Where distance is an issue (we do work throughout the world) Kevin agrees with the client a nominal figure, normally covering travelling expenses.
